Two businessmen working in New York decided to get themselves a mistress. They set her up in her own apartment and agreed to split all expenses 50/50. The men alienated evenings with her, and things went fine for a few months.

One day the mistress announced to the two

men that she was pregnant. They decided to do the right thing, and split all expenses 50/50. When the mistress went into labor, one of the men was out of town on a business trip, so the other man went to the hospital with her. When the traveler returned, he headed for the hospital and saw his friend looking very glum outside the maternity ward.

'Is she all right? Were there problems with the birth?' he asked his friend.

'Oh, she's fine, but I've got some bad news for you. She had twins, and mine died.'
