During World War I a Polack infantryman from Buffalo, New York,
wrote to his wife that he had been seriously wounded in the
Dardanelles.
Her reply was succinct: "Does that mean that we can't have any more
children?"
F or some reason three Polacks were sent to measure the height of a
flagpole. For hours they kept jumping up and down, falling off
ladders and getting nowhere until a passing Irishman told them the
metal pole could be unscrewed from its base and laid on the grass.
"Listen, you stupid mick," one of the Polacks said. "We were sent
out here to measure the height of the pole-not its length."
Of all the western nations Poland is unique in that it has no income
tax. The reason is simple-it has no income.
